When I married my first wife Amina, in 1976, I remember thinking of myself finally becoming a man. I woke up that morning looking in the mirror. At this point my chest hair had fully developed, and it became an aspect of pride for me. I am now just looking at a picture of myself at this time, and how young I was. To think I was a man when I was really just a child, unknowing to the realities I would face in the years to come. Do I wish for these years back? Not really. The old men always say they wish for the return of their youth, but that's only because they're losers.
